Challenge

Alt-Tech had a logo and a basic brand guide in place, but it only covered visual fundamentals—logos, typography, and colours. As the company experienced several consecutive years of record growth and expanded into new markets, service offerings, and a much larger team, leadership realized the brand needed to evolve beyond visuals into a fully articulated identity that could scale with the business.

Using their existing logo as the foundation, I developed a comprehensive brand system and guide that defined the entire Alt-Tech identity—from language, tone, and positioning to key statements, slogans, and value messaging. The system extended far beyond messaging, covering the full operational brand toolkit: internal document systems and templates, social media frameworks, vehicle fleet graphics, digital and layout grids, pitch decks, webinar decks, trade show assets, company video frameworks, image systems, and more. The goal was to create a cohesive, scalable identity that could guide every touchpoint of the brand as the company continued to grow.

Result

The rollout became a defining internal moment for the company. Alt-Tech flew our team out to their headquarters where we presented the full brand guide to the entire organization, walking through every component of the system and how it should be applied. The founder reinforced its importance by telling the team the new guidelines would be actively upheld moving forward.

One of the most celebrated changes was the shift in language. By replacing overly complex technical jargon with clear, human messaging, the brand became far more approachable to its core buyers—often operations leaders and executives who rely on IT providers but don’t necessarily speak the language of infrastructure and cybersecurity.

The new identity also opened doors to larger brand opportunities. We went on to design Alt-Tech’s partnership campaign with Acronis and the Edmonton Oilers, giving the Alt-Tech brand international exposure through the National Hockey League and elevating the company’s profile far beyond its regional market.
